...to promote the interests and sense of community within the Whitemountain area.
Whitemountain & District Community Association aims to help connect together residents of the areas bounded by Sheepwalk Rd, Pond Park Rd, Beanstown Rd, Glenavy Rd and Whinney Hill in the townlands of Whitemountain, Aghnahough, Beanstown, Ballyclough and immediate surrounding areas just north of Lisburn.
We have a keen interest in ensuring that local issues are properly addressed by local representatives and statutory bodies e.g. issues surrounding roads safety, fly-tipping, landfills etc.

Thanks to Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council , for Community Support Grant, to The Alpha Programme and LCCC for grants towards the sculpture park and to the Dept for Communities for small project support. A big thanks also to publicity support from the BBC, NVTV, Ulster Star, Visual Artists Ireland and Earth Science Ireland. We are members of Rural Community Network (RCN), TADA and Volunteer Now.
Our interests also include promoting the area with respect to tourism. With the opening of Belshaws Quarry Sculpture Park we hope that anyone visiting our area has an enjoyable experience.
